DAVID DRAIMAN: 'DISTURBED Will Reunite Someday'

DISTURBED and DEVICE frontman David Draiman has offered a brief update on the status of both bands via his Twitter account. As he answered a number of fan questions Tuesday night, he offered this response on the future of DISTURBED and DEVICE: "OKAY… 1. Disturbed WILL REUNITE…SOMEDAY. 2. I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN 3. NO CLUE ON Device EITHER – OOH WA AH AH AH."

Draiman echoed this when The Pulse Of Radio asked him about DISTURBED's eventual return. "DISTURBED will reunite when the time comes," he said. "When we feel it's right, when DEVICE has run its course, when everybody's in the right head space and we're feeling re-inspired and we're ready to go back at it and the itch is itching hard enough, it'll happen."

The singer added that there was no reason for fans to be mad about the band's outside projects, saying, "Bitterness at our individual projects is really quite misplaced."

Draiman announced in November 2013 that DEVICE was withdrawing from its support slot on a European tour featuring co-headliners AVENGED SEVENFOLD and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH. Draiman noted in his message to fans that he had made the decision so that he could spend more time at home with his wife and newborn son.

Draiman and his wife, model, actress and wrestler Lena Yada, welcomed a baby boy named Samuel Bear Isamu Draiman into the world on September 12, 2013.

Although the band was born healthy, DEVICE canceled all its tour dates from the end of August 2013 through mid-October 2013 so that Draiman could be close to home after his wife began having complications with the pregnancy.

DEVICE's debut CD entered at No. 11 on the Billboard album chart in April 2013, selling 35,000 copies in its first week of release. Draiman launched the group in 2012 after DISTURBED went on hiatus in late 2011.

DISTURBED guitarist Dan Donegan and drummer Mike Wengren's new band, FIGHT OR FLIGHT, released its debut album in July 2013, while bassist John Moyer toured and recorded with ADRENALINE MOB.

DISTURBED issued a limited-edition box set of all five of its studio albums on vinyl in April 2012, called "The Collection". The six-disc package includes all the records remastered and pressed on 140-gram heavy duty vinyl, with each housed in new artwork that is unique and exclusive to the box. Only 2,500 copies were made available worldwide.

DISTURBED released its first-ever collection of B-sides and rarities, titled "The Lost Children", in November 2011. The set included a previously unreleased song called "Mine" as well as a benefit track for the West Memphis Three titled "3", plus tunes that previously appeared only on soundtracks or as bonus cuts on international editions of the group's albums.
